I don't remember which BVS episode it was with the cheesy chips, but when I
drew this cartoon I discovered I wasn't the only person who noted the
discrepancy with the summer after Angelus.
This was when I was first playing with the capabilites of drawing cartoons on the computer. Notice that each character was only drawn once and the same figure copied into each panel where the character appears, usually mirror-flipped from the previous panel. It took some planning, at least for the characters who are holding things in the last panel but not earlier. Cutting-and-pasting, like anything else in any art medium, is subject to abuse but also is often there for purposeful effect.
