Oh, did you know...I send you love
at dawning!
I send it in a robe of golden light,
To kiss your eyes in warmth upon
your waking,
And make your day all fair and sweet
and bright.
Oh, did you know, I send you love
at noonday,
Within a rift of sunshine's gentle
grace,
A tender thought, a hope that you
are happy,
A little prayer, across a wordless
space?
O, did you know, I send you love
at evening,
A benediction for your gloaming
hour,
Enwrapped in twilight memories of
yester,
A vesper song, a smile, a rose hung
bower?
Oh, did you know, I send you love
at midnight!
I clothe it then in purple robes
of peace,
And send it on a little shaft of
silver
I borrow from a crystal tear's release.
