Sit ye, rock and think....The nearer she approached the end, the plainer she seemed to
hear round her the immortal symphonies of the world to come.
Warning...
Warning, When I Am An Old Woman

When I Am An Old Woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me,
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves...

Dear Visitors,

I am saddened to tell you that I have been ordered to remove Jenny Joseph's wonderful poem from my site. It appears that the almighty dollar takes precedence over someone's ability to visit a website and read words that encourage or inspire. The letter ordering me to remove it is posted below.

I personally do not feel that posting this poem in it's entirety would take money from Ms. Joseph or Ms. Lucas...in fact I feel that just the opposite would occur and that those who read this poem would want to go and buy books written by Jenny Joseph or buy products with the Warning poem on them.

In fact, I have received many emails wanting to know where some item may be purchased pertaining to this poem...If I had known where to direct my visitors at the time, I would certainly have done so. Apparently, Ms. Joseph and Ms. Lucas do not live in the spirit of the poem!

Because I am NOT buying or selling anything on either of my sites, I do not choose to post the first four lines of this poem in order to boost sales for anyone. I would be happy to post Ms. Lucas's URL's on this page, but only if the poem can be enjoyed in it's entirety. *

I want to thank all my visitors for their continued interest in my site, and invite you as always, to browse through all my pages...they have been made with love.

Take care and may God bless you, Lou

 The Human Touch

'Tis the human touch in this world that counts,
The touch of your hand and mine,
Which means far more to the fainting heart
Than shelter and bread and wine;
For shelter is gone when the night is o'er,
And bread lasts only a day,
But the touch of the hand and the sound of the voice
Sing on in the soul alway.
