#PALMCHAT INSTRUCTION SET
I assume people are using mIRC as their
client to talk on IRC. The same directions should work for other clents except for
which tabs, buttons, etc to click. If'n you use the unix prompt for irc you don't
need my help!
Run mIRC
Click on the first yellow folder icon at the top left
of your screen.
Click on the Add button
In the Description box type in Palm Computing
In the IRC Server box type in irc.openprojects.net
Click Add
In the Full Name, E-Mail Address, Nickname and Alternative boxes put your information you
want to use.
Click OK
That should have created and put you in the irc.openprojects.net server to log on to the
system.
Click on the fourth icon at the top of your screen. It will be yellow
and have some lines on it.
Type in PALMCHAT in the box at the top
Click Add
Click OK
Click on the first icon at the top left of your screen. It sorta kinda
looks like a yellow lightning bolt.
That should put you online on the openprojects server.
Click on the second yellow icon at the top
Highlight PALMCHAT
Click Join
You should now be in the channel.
