comments: Louisville is a Ford town, and it has been since the company began making Model T's here in 1913. Today, more than 10,000 people work at Ford's two Louisville plants. Ford Explorer sport-utility vehicles are made at the Louisville Assembly Plant. Ford Excursion SUVs and Super-Duty pickups are made across town at the Kentucky Truck Plant. The photo above shows the main entrance to the Kentucky Truck Plant office building. That's a Super-Duty pickup at left, on top of the building. At right is an Excursion, America's largest SUV. |
