comments: My best guess is that this is a memorial to someone who died in a traffic accident at this spot, which is at a sharp curve on a narrow country road. I could only speculate, but won't, on the meaning of the cross and the two flags, and why they were combined to make this enigmatic display. Coincidentally, I totaled my pickup truck in 1998 on this curve, hitting a tree about 40 feet from the cedar in this picture. |
