     Hanging inside the Dairy Freeze is a framed black-and-white photograph of Gene Vonlinger at age 16, sitting on the hood of his Ford, which was backed in against the white wall at the extreme left in this photo.  I sent Vonlinger a copy of this picture, and maybe it's now hanging beside the original.
     Vonlinger is a Stanford native and a welder by trade.  Note the torch lighter hanging at his belt.  He had just finished lunch and was heading back to his truck when this picture was taken.
     For some reason, the Dairy Freeze has an alternate name, the Cree-Mee Drive In.  I don't know why.
