     Spring doesn't last very long in Kentucky; winter usually stumbles along until late March, and summer launches by mid-May or so.  But while it's here, spring is glorious, especially in the Bluegrass region of the state, where this picture was taken.
     The photo above was taken in Garrard County near the little community of Paint Lick.  On a personal note, my mother was a native of Garrard County, having been born on a farm not 10 miles from this scene.
