Frankfort is situated in a deep valley along a double-bend in the Kentucky River. Morning fog is common, especially in the autumn when the air is cool but the river is still warm. I had to wait awhile for most of the fog to lift before I could take this picture, or else the capitol dome wouldn't have been visible at all. | |
