Franklin County, beside Mt. Zion Road.  October 21, 2001.  2:33 p.m. EDT.

     After the terror of September 11, 2001, we all reacted in our own individual ways.  On Mt. Zion Road in Franklin County, there lives a man who expressed himself with humor and some garden-variety creativity.  At left in the photo is a Halloween witch, or somesuch, made with pumpkins.  In the background, leaning against the utility pole, is a silhouette cutout figure.  The "mooning" display at right was made with a couple of pumpkin-like squash.  I have never met the man who put this all together, but whenever I drive by his place, I always look to see what he may have next.
