My SKI Soda Finders Guide

This is a list of places that I have found Ski (and Double Cola), or where I have been told it is available by others. Unless otherwise noted, assume original flavor Ski. I live in Kentucky, so most of my own “sightings” have been in this state & in Southern Ohio.

I have found Ski much more likely to be found in smaller grocery stores (like IGA) and less-likely in large chains like Wal-Mart.

There are various websites set up by fans that are devoted to Ski. One such site is Ski for Your Pleasure which contains a lot of interesting information, including product news & history, as well as audio & video clips, including a very early Ski TV advertisement. Also included are photos which show the “evolution” of Ski packaging & advertising.

NEW PACKAGING ALERT! (9/2009) – Second-Hand information indicates that the “new” Ski packaging is available in the Jackson/Wellston, Ohio area (Gem Beverages distribution area). By “new” packaging, we're not actually referring to the new graphics contest winner, but rather that all four “contestant” variations can be found in this area. Since the cans for this area are produced by the Evansville canning plant, these packaging variations may also be found in that area (and others) as well. Myskisoda.com indicates that the new can graphics have been chosen. Visit that site for a view of the new “face” of Ski soda!

Abbreviations used:

ALABAMA

Huntsville / Athens / North-Central Alabama – Second-Hand (2006). Ski and Double Cola should be available in the Huntsville area & other parts of Northern Alabama. Check Piggly Wiggly & places that also carry Faygo. Also, Internet rumors indicate that Kentucky favorite Ale-8-One can also be found at some Kroger stores in the Huntsville area.

Mobile – Second-Hand (8/2009), per a thread on Bevnet Bevboard – Ski (20), Cherry Ski (20), Double Cola (20/SC), and various flavors of Jumbo (20) are available in at least one “Mom & Pop” store in the Mobile area.

CALIFORNIA

San Jose - Second-Hand, confirmed available per a thread on Bevnet Bevboard.

FLORIDA

Destin – Second-Hand (5/2009) - 12 – Per a photo-posting I found on flickr.com, regular and Cherry Ski are available in the Destin area.

ILLINOIS

Breese / East St. Louis / South Central Illinois – GB/2L/20/SD – possibly other packaging - Breese is the home of Excel Bottling, where Ski is still bottled in 10oz glass bottles (& with real sugar). The company web site at http://www.excelbottling.com includes a list of places in this area that Excel distributes Ski to, including places where it can be found on tap. It looks like Ski is available in original, Diet, C/F, and Cherry. Double Cola may also be available, and Jumbo is available in some locations in this area. Their website, as well as http://www.glassbottlesoda.org , imply that Cash-and-Carry customers are also welcome at the bottler. Excel also bottles/distributes their own line of sodas. Chester – Second-Hand (9/2009) – Ski is now available in the Chester area.

Evansville (IN) Area – see Indiana

Gibson City – Second-Hand (8/2009) – Ski is available at a place called “Big R.”

Homer (Danville Area) / Monticello

• Homer Soda – both locations - Second-Hand (8/2009) - Ski is available at the two Homer Soda locations, along with other hard-to-find sodas and colas, including Cheerwine, Moxie, & Kickapoo Joy Juice. Homer Soda

INDIANA

Bloomington – Second-Hand (2/2008) – not available.

Evansville Area (2/2008) – This is the home of Tri-State Canning, an RC bottler where Ski and Double Cola are canned/bottled. Check out http://www.courierpress.com/news/2008/feb/29/pop-art for a 2008 Evansville Courier & Press article about Ski & Ski availability in the Evansville area. Double Cola should also be available locally.

• Buehler's Buy Low – 4851 Pennysylvania Avenue – 12/20/2L – Diet, C/F, & Cherry also – From the article. Check other Buehler's locations for availability.

• Drone's Convenience Store – 410 N Tekoppel Avenue – From the article.

• Corner Bar and Grill – 2668 Mount Vernon Avenue – SD - From the article.

• Eddie Geis' Barber and Beauty Shop – 414 S Barker Avenue – From the article.

• Hagedorn's Tavern – 2037 W Franklin St. - SD – From the article.

• The Coffeehouse (1999) – Second-Hand. If it still exists, Ski & Double Cola are/were sold here.

• Landmark BBQ (12/2008) – 3901 Broadway – SD/SC, Diet also - Second-Hand, per this blog entry, Ski is served here. From the included photos, it looks like they serve RC instead of Double Cola, though.

• Elsewhere - The article implies that Ski is especially popular on the West Side. Rumor has it that Ski and Double Cola can be found in Ski & RC vending machines throughout that area. Also, you can always find Double Cola products on tap during games at Double Cola Fields, the soccer complex for the Evansville/Vanderburgh County schools.

Jasper – I have been told that Ski can be found here, in at least cans. Double Cola & Ski are/were distributed by local company Hedinger Beverage, the same company that now owns & distributes Dad's Root Beer products. I would check Buehler's & other places where Dad's can be found.

Santa Claus – Second-Hand (9/2009) – Ski is available in the Spencer County area.

Terre Haute – Second-Hand (2/2008) – not available.

KENTUCKY

IMHO, the best places to look for Ski in Kentucky are small-chain or locally-owned grocery stores (like Houchen's, IGA, etc.) & convenience stores. Seems to be most-likely available in the Lake Cumberland area, in cities along the Western Kentucky & Blue Grass Parkways, in cities along I-65 (excluding Louisville), and in cities near Greensburg. Double Cola is harder to find. It is apparently still available in the Madisonville area, in Central City, in Greensburg, and possibly in places near Evansville, Indiana.

First Stop Stores – First Stop is a chain of convenience stores/gas stations which are mostly found in the Northeastern Kentucky and Southern Ohio area. 20oz plastic bottles of Ski seem to be a staple at First Stop stores. Some locations are listed below. For a full list of locations, check out the “Locations” link on their homepage. Note that two of the Maysville, Kentucky, are locations appear to be missing from their list.

Albany – If you can't find Ski here, you are not looking hard enough! Albany is South of Lake Cumberland, and North of Dale Hollow Lake, along US 127. When I was a kid, I am pretty sure this was the first place I ever tried Double Cola and Ski. I have not seen Double Cola here in a long time, though.

• Houchen's/Hometown IGA (10/2008) – Westview Shopping Center, Burkesville Rd (KY 1590) – 12/24/2L – Diet & C/F also – easy to find in the Soft Drink aisle. Ski has about as much shelf space as any of the “top tier” cola brands here.

• Cumberland Corner Deli Market (10/2009) – corner of KY 734 & KY 90/US 127 – 12/20/2L/DB/SC – Diet 20 – 12-packs & 2-litres on shelf over near deli. Cold 10 & 20 oz bottles, and cans, in the coolers. This location no longer appears to sell C/F (10/2009).

• Ely's on the Square (10/2009) – 203 S Cross (US 127 S) – 20/SC – Diet 20 – in the cooler across from the check-out counter. They may also sell it by the drink.

• Craft Car Wash (10/2009) – 901 ½ N Cross (US 127) – There is a Ski machine & a Diet Ski machine outside of this business.

• Elsewhere – The places above are the places I am certain I have seen/puchased Ski, but I seem to see it in just about any store I've stepped into. I know it is in at least one convenience store/filling station on the South side of town, and there is at least one working Ski vending machine near (but not on) the square. Will verify later this year.

Bardstown

• Kroger (2/2009) – Second-Hand. Ski is available here, and may be available in other places in town as well.

Bowling Green – Second-Hand, multiple accounts (6/2009) – Ski is available here, but Double Cola is not.

Campbellsville – Second-Hand, multiple accounts (7/2009) – Ski should be easily available in multiple packaging, regular, diet, and C/F. Double Cola is not available here, but can be found in nearby Greensburg. See also Greensburg.

Caneyville / Short Creek / Falls of Rough – Ski is available in Caneyville, but as you travel up KY 79 towards Rough River Lake, it disappears. See also Leitchfield.

• Caneyville BP (6/2009) – KY 79 at Taylor Dr, just N of Western KY Pkwy Jct – 12/20 – 12-can-packs on soft drink aisle, 20oz bottles in coolers in back.

• Green's IGA (6/2009) – 404 E Maple (US 62), Caneyville – 12 – 12-can-packs on soft drink aisle.

Cave City / Glasgow – Second-Hand, multiple accounts (6/2009) – In Glasgow, Ski should be easily available in multiple packaging, regular, diet, and possibly C/F. In Cave City:

• Cave City Shell Food Mart (2008) – 901 Mammoth Cave St (I-65, Exit 53) – 12/20/SC - Second-Hand. May be available in other places nearby as well.

Central City / Greenville – Ski & Double Cola are distributed out of nearby Madisonville, & at least Ski is probably available in other stores in this area.

• Neighbor's Shell (6/2009) – US 431 at Western KY Pkwy, Central City – 12/20/SC – 12-can-packs on soda aisle, 20oz bottles & single cans in coolers along the back of the store.

• Stewart's Foodliner (6/2009) – 219 S Second, Central City – 6P/12 – Double Cola 12 – This store also carries Double Cola. Both were shelved with the Dr. Pepper products. Double Cola shelf space was limited, so if you don't find it, ask for it. Stewart's also has a location in Greenville. I didn't get a chance to check there, but they may also carry Double Cola & Ski. Thanks to a fellow Double Cola fan for the tip!

Columbia / Edmonton – Second-Hand, multiple accounts (6/2009) – In Columbia, Ski should be easily available in multiple packaging, regular, diet, and C/F. Ski should also be available in Edmonton. See also Greensburg.

Danville – I have looked at Food Lion (5/2009) & Kroger (10/2008) and have not found Ski here. I also checked Cracker Barrel (5/2009) to see if they carried the Double Cola Nostalgia pack (they did not). I've yet to get a chance to check any smaller/non-chain stores, so it could be available in Danville & I just still haven't found it. See Junction City / Moreland / Houstonville.

Elizabethtown – There is a local Ski distributor here. Other stores also carry Ski.

• E.W. James (6/2009) – 200 St. John, at corner with Dixie – 12/SC – 12-can-packs on soda aisle, single cans in Coke machine out front.

• Houchen's (6/2009) – Houchen's Plaza, 200 Sycamore – 12/20/SC – Diet 12 – 12-can-packs on soda aisle, cold 20oz bottles by the deli, single cans in Coke machine out in front of the hobby shop next door.

• Kroger (2008) – Second-Hand, multiple accounts – 12 – Diet also - Kroger stores in the E-town area carry 12-can-packs of Ski and Diet Ski.

Evansville (IN) Area – see “Indiana” and Henderson.

Frankfort / Lawrenceburg – I've never seen Ski in these cities. See Versailles and Springfield.

Greensburg – Second-Hand, multiple accounts (6/2009) – Ski should be easily available in multiple packaging, regular, diet, and C/F. This was the former home of Greensburg Bottling, a large producer of Ski & Double Cola. Greensburg was also the partial-inspiration for the Kentucky Headhunters' song, Dumas Walker: “...a slawburger, fries, and a bottle of Ski...” Look at Houchen's & the Headhunter Grill (if it is still open).

• Five Star Food Mart (6/2009) –111 S Main - Second-Hand – Double Cola 12 – Ski also - A fellow Double Cola fan sent me this tip. Double Cola is available here & apparently sells pretty well. Ski is also available here.

Harrodsburg / Salvisa – (5/2009) – I checked numerous places in this area, including Kroger, and did not find Ski. See Versailles, Springfield, and Junction City.

Henderson / Sebree – In Henderson, Ski (& possibly Double Cola) might be available at Buehler's and other stores. In Sebree, one or both drinks might be available at the local IGA and other stores. See also Madisonville and “Indiana: Evansville Area.”

Hodgenville

• Houchen's (6/2008) - 492 S Main St (pretty sure this is an IGA) – 12/2L – Diet also - look for Ski on soft drink aisle.

Jamestown / Russell Springs

• Kroger (10/2009) – 181 S US 127 #900, Russell Springs – 20 – Ski is available in a cooler by the gas-station cashier's “cage.” Second-Hand information also puts Ski (in multiple packaging) in the store itself, and in a Ski machine outside of the store entrance.

• Houchen's Market – 2453 Lakeway Dr (JCT of US 127 & KY 379), Russell Springs – Ski should be available at this location.

Junction City / Moreland / Houstonville – Ski is available in this area, but cannot be found everywhere.

• Don's Food Mart (5/2009) – US 127, approx. 4 miles S of Junction City – 12/20/SC – 20 oz bottles & cans of regular Ski are in the coolers on the back wall. Plenty of 12-can-packs were on an end-cap near the 2 litre displays, although I didn't see any 2 litres of Ski.

Leitchfield – I believe the Houchen's stores are both IGA stores, but can't remember for sure. Other stores may also carry Ski & are worth a look. See also Caneyville.

• Houchen's (6/2008) - 115 Sequoia Dr – 12 – may also carry 2L – shelf space was limited, but look for Ski on soft drink aisle.

• Houchen's (6/2008) - 492 S Main St (KY 259) – 12 – may also carry 2L – shelf space was limited, but look for Ski on soft drink aisle.

• JR Food Mart (6/2009) – 941 Brandenburg (KY 259) – 20 – may also carry 12 – 20oz bottles in coolers along side wall.

• Wal-Mart (6/2008) - 1801 Elizabethtown Road (US 62) – SC – did not find any Ski in the store, but I did find it in a Coke machine at the entrance.

Lexington / Georgetown – I have never seen Ski in either of these towns, and have seen conflicting information regarding availability. Rumor has it that it is available in Lexington at a convenience store at I-75 & Man O'War. I checked in Georgetown recently (7/2009) and did not find it in the many places I looked. See Millersburg and Versailles

Liberty (Casey County) / Dunnville – Ski seems plentiful here, and is probably available in additional places I've not listed.

• A & D Supermarket (5/2009) – 163 Houstonville St, at the corner of Rule St. - 12/24/20/6P/2L/SC – Diet & C/F 12 – This store didn't have a sign on it, so I almost missed it. It is the only store on that corner & the locals apparently have no trouble finding it. There were soda displays & coolers at the front of the store, and a soda aisle in the back, so if you can't find a variety of Ski in one place, check the other. 20 oz bottles in the coolers, single cans in the Coke machine out front. They even had one “Double Cola” cooler still in the store, but unfortunately no Double Cola in it.

• Marathon Food Center (5/2009) – US 127 at Short Town Road, approx. 4 mi N of town – 12/20/2L/SC – Diet 20 – 20 oz bottles & cans in coolers, 12's & 2-litres in soda section.

• Jack's Express (5/2009) – 6283 S US 127, approx. 6 mi S of town – 12/20/DB/2L – 12-packs & 2-litres in soda section, smaller bottles in cooler.

• Hometown Proud IGA (5/2009) – Liberty Sq. Shopping Ctr, Wilkinson Blvd (US 127) – 12/24/6P/2L/SC – Diet 2L/SC – C/F SC – 12 & 24 packs on various end-caps, & on soda aisle along with 6-pack bottles & 2-litres. Single Cans in Ski machine outside.

• Save-A-Lot (5/2009) – 675 N Wilkinson Blvd (US 127) – 12/24/20/6P/SC – Diet SC – On a couple of end-caps & displays near the soda aisle. Single 20 oz bottles in a cooler at the check-out. Single Cans in a Coke machine outside.

• Dogwalk Market (5/2009) – US 127 at Dog Walk Street, Dunnville – 12/20/DB/SC – Diet 12/20 – Ski is an easy find in soda section & two different cooler sections. Single cans in store & in Coke machine outside.

Louisville / Jefferson County – I have never seen Ski in Jefferson County. The closest places I know of to find Ski are Elizabethtown & Mt. Washington. If I was going to look here at all, I would look out Bardstown Road (US 31E/150), or Dixie Highway (US 31W/60), South of the Snyder Freeway. Internet rumor also puts Ski in the Kroger store in Holiday Manor, off US 42 & KY 22. See Elizabethtown and Mt. Washington, and also Simpsonville.

• Cost Plus World Market (5/2009) – 4600 Shelbyville Rd, St. Matthews – Double Cola GB - See “On The Web: Cost Plus World Market”. I was able to verify that the store in St. Matthews does carry the “Nostalgia” pack containing Double Cola. They also carried some other “Nostalgia” and hard-to-find sodas in single bottles in a cooler by the check-out, but I saw no Double Cola or Ski there.

Madisonville – Second-Hand (6/2009) – Madisonville Dr. Pepper distributes both Ski & Double Cola, so both should be available at some stores in this area.

Maysville / Brooksville

• Washington First Stop (7/2009) – KY 1236 at US 68/62, Maysville – 20 – Ski can be found in the coolers along the right side of the store, along with the Dad's and Red Rock products.

• Elsewhere – I have checked other stores in Maysville (6/2008 & 7/2009) and did not see any Ski. I have not checked either of the other two First Stop locations in Maysville, or the one in nearby Brooksville, but I suspect that they do carry Ski.

Millersburg / Paris / Carlisle / Cynthiana – I do not believe that Ski is available in either Paris or Carlisle. I have found it in nearby Millersburg:

• Millersburg First Stop (7/2009) - 1135 Main St (US 68 at KY 1879), Millersburg – 20 – in coolers along back of store with Dad's Root Beer & Red Rock products.

• Cynthiana First Stop – 215 W Pleasant, Cynthiana – Speculation. Ski is available in First Stop stores in this area, and is likely to be found here.

Mt. Washington / Shepherdsville – I have looked multiple places in Shepherdsville (6/2009) and did not find any Ski. In Mt. Washington, I found it at some places I looked.

• Houchen's (6/2009) – 10070 KY 44 E – 12 – Diet 12 – Plenty of Ski on the soda aisle.

• Pearl's Food Mart (6/2009) – KY 44, next door to Houchen's – 20/SC – You can find Ski in coolers along the back of the store.

• Valumarket (6/2009) – US 31E/150 at KY 44 – not found here.

• Melton's Pic-Pac IGA (6/2009) – Highland Court, Shepherdsville – This place was preparing for a Grand (Re-) Opening & was not yet open. The person who came to the door when I tried to open it at least knew what I meant when I said I was “looking for Ski” and not a job, so it might be worth a look once it is open.

Owensboro / Calhoun – Second-Hand – Ski is available in Owensboro. I'd look at Wyndall's Foodland, IGA, or Larry's Little Giant & other smaller retailers. If Albany wasn't the first place I ever tried Ski, then it was in Owensboro. It was at Larry's where I first saw & learned what the “floaties” were! Double Cola used to be available, but might not be now. In Calhoun & Livermore, Ski may be available at the local IGA. See also Central City.

Scottsville / Tompkinsville – Second-Hand (6/2009) – Ski is available in this area. If Double Cola is not found here, it is available just across the State Line in Lafayette, TN. A few places to look:

• Pitcock's Food Mart (6/2009) – 125 E Main, Gamaliel – GB/20/SC – Second-Hand. Ski (and possibly Double Cola) are available at this location.

• Wal-Mart (6/2009) – 1650 Edmonton Rd, Tompkinsville – 20/12 – Second-Hand.

• JR Food Marts (6/2009) – multiple locations – Second-Hand. Ski is usually available at JR's locations in this area.

Simpsonville / Shelbyville Area / Taylorsville – I have looked in multiple places in this area, and have not found Ski. However, as of 8/2009 there is a Ski machine in Simpsonville (at a Car Wash at the corner of US 60 at 2^nd Street) that sells regular Ski. See Mt. Washington and Springfield.

Springfield / Willisburg – Ski is available in this area.

• EZ Stop (6/2009) – KY 555 at Blue Grass Pkwy – 12/20/2L – There was plenty of Ski here. 20oz bottles in the coolers along the back of the store.

Versailles

• Terry's 5 and 10 (5/2009) - 480-B Lexington Rd (in Save-A-Lot/Family Dollar shopping center, just W of bypass junction) – 12/SC – 12 packs of Ski are available in the soft drink “aisle” just inside the door. Single cans are available (for 45 cents!) in a Pepsi machine outside.

Whitesburg / Hyden / Paintsville and points in between – Second-Hand, from the distributor (8/2009) – Ski is distributed by the Whitesburg & Paintsville RC distributors and can be found in this area. Also, Orange Jumbo is now available in cans in parts of this area.

US 68 Corridor, Paris to Maysville – See also Millersburg and Maysville. Aside from the First Stop stores in Millersburg and Maysville, I have not found Ski in any other store I have stopped in along this route.

MINNESOTA

Minneapolis / St. Paul / Falcon Heights

• The Source Comics & Games (5/2009) – 1601 West Larpenteur Ave - Second-Hand, per their website – I found this one by accident during a web search for Double Cola. Their May, 2009 newsletters indicate that they now sell Double Cola & Ski, and touts them as the "best soda on Earth." A post on Bevnet Bevboard (6/2009) also indicates that both are available “in bottles,” and are selling well.

MISSOURI

St. Charles – see also St. Louis.

• Moto-Mart (6/2009) – 2801 N Highway 94 – 20 – Second-Hand. Ski, Diet Ski, and Cherry Ski are available at this location.

St. Louis – Second-Hand, multiple sources (7/2009). Ski is supposed to be a fairly-easy find here, including in Ski vending machines. See also St. Charles & “Illinois: Breese / East St. Louis.” Here are a couple of places it should be available:

• Moto-Mart Convenience Stores (6/2009) – multiple locations – Second-Hand. Ski can be found at various Moto-Mart locations. Product stocking/rotation is not always prompt at some locations, so if you don't find it during one visit, that doesn't mean they've stopped carrying it.

• The Soda Jerks (6/2009) - St. Louis Mills Mall, 5555 St. Louis Mills Blvd #366 – GB/SD - Second Hand. A fellow Ski fan submitted the following: “(The Soda Jerks) is a specialty shop that has all kinds of sodas. You can get SKI in glass bottles made with cane sugar from Excel, and they also will mix up Ski like soda jerks used to do.”

OHIO

First Stop Stores – First Stop is a chain of convenience stores/gas stations which are mostly found in the Northeastern Kentucky and Southern Ohio area. 20oz plastic bottles of Ski seem to be a staple at First Stop stores. Some locations are listed below. For a full list of locations, check out the “Locations” link on their homepage.

Adams and Brown Counties – I have checked multiple locations in Adams County (7/2009), including Wal-Mart & two IGA stores, and have not seen Ski. However, I did not check any of the First Stop stores, and there are multiple First Stop stores in both counties. See also “Kentucky: Maysville”.

• Winchester First Stop (9/2009) – Ohio 136 at Ohio 32, Winchester – 20 – Second-Hand. Ski is confirmed available at this First Stop location.

• Macon First Stop (9/2009) – US 62 at Ohio 32, Macon – 20 – Second-Hand. Ski is confirmed available at this First Stop location.

Chillicothe / Waverly – Second-Hand, multiple sources. Ski, and possibly Cherry Ski & Double Cola, should be available in some stores in both towns, and there are Ski vending machines in the Waverly area. Gem Beverages of Wellston (see Jackson / Wellston) distributes Ski to this area. From personal experience, Ski is not available at the two convenience store/gas stations in the Waverly area along Ohio 32, East of the US 23 interchange (7/2009). I have never been into Waverly proper, though. Some Second-Hand information (9/2009) indicates that Ski is not as widely available in this area as it is in the Jackson / Wellston area. There is a First Stop in nearby Piketon that would be a good place to look.

Jackson / Wellston / Hamden / Albany – Ski & other Double Cola products are distributed locally by Gem Beverages of Wellston & are a possible find anywhere they distribute soft drinks. My observations, along with Second-Hand observations, indicate that Ski is plentiful in this area. Second-Hand information indicates that these products should also be available in nearby Hamden, Albany, Coalton, & near the Hocking Valley State Park. The Second-Hand information listed below is from a very reliable source that frequents this area.

• Jerry's Jamestown Market (7/2009) – 185 E Broadway, at the corner with Harding, just West of the US 35 interchange, Jackson – 12/2L/6P/6C/20/DB/SC/GB – Diet 12/6P/2L/20 – Cherry 20 – Double Cola 20 - Jumbo Orange & Grape 20 – This tiny store is like a Ski Mecca. Ski can be found in multiple place throughout the store. The 20oz & 10oz plastic bottles, single cans, and glass bottles (with Sugar, from Excel Bottling in Illinois) are all in the coolers along the back wall. I also saw some 2 litres & 12-pack cans in coolers in another part of the store (I didn't actually check to see if they were cold!). As if the main store wasn't enough, there was another room off to the right that had more soda in it, including more 2 litres & 12-packs of Ski & Diet Ski. This location also carries Gem Golden Cream Soda & has a Ski machine outside, facing Harding Street.

• Kroger (7/2009) – 530 E Main, Jackson – 12/6P/2L – Diet 6P/12 – Cherry 6P – All found on the soda aisle, along with 6-pack plastic bottles of Gem Golden Cream Soda. Second-Hand information (9/2009) is that this location also carries 24-can cube packs of Ski (I somehow missed them).

• Foodland (7/2009) – 116 W Second, Wellston - 2L/6P/12/20 – Diet 6P/12 – Double Cola 6P – Jumbo Orange 6P- All (except the single 20oz bottles) found on a large end-cap display right behind the check-out lanes. This location also carries Gem Golden Cream Soda (found on the same display) & has a Ski machine outside that contains Ski in 20oz bottles & other Gem flavors. Second-Hand update (9/2009): The Ski machine outside has been repaired, and now contains 20oz bottles of Ski, Diet Ski, Double-Cola, and Gem Golden Cream. Other flavors of Gem are apparently no longer available.

• Kroger (7/2009) – 2 East A Street, Wellston – 2L/6P/12 – Diet 6P/12 – Double Cola 6P – Jumbo Orange 6P – All found on the soda aisle. Rumor has it that this is the second-smallest Kroger store in the chain. Only one in West Virginia is smaller.

• Wellston First Stop/Poor Bob's Deli (7/2009) – Ohio 327, just North of Ohio 32 interchange, Wellston – 20/DB – Diet 20 – In the coolers along the back of the store. This location also carries Red Rock & Dad's products.

• Exxon Station/Store (7/2009) - Ohio 327, just North of Ohio 32 interchange, Wellston – 12. Advertises that they carry Ski in 12-can-packs. May also carry other packaging, as well as other Ski/Double Cola products.

• Marathon Food Center (7/2009) – Albany area – Second-Hand. Advertises that they carry Ski.

• Gillespie's Store (9/2009) - 1111 Main Street (Ohio 93), Jackson – 20/6C – Diet 20 – Second-Hand. 20 oz bottles in the coolers, 6-packs near the check-out.

• Handy Mart (9/2009) - 33 S. David Ave (Ohio 776), Jackson – 20/SC/GB/6C/12/2L – Diet 20/SC – Double Cola 20 - Jumbo Orange & Grape 20 - Second-Hand. 20 oz plastic, single cans, & glass bottles in the coolers, with multi-can packs & 2-litres nearby. Also carries Gem Golden Cream soda in 20 oz. & glass bottles. Ski/Double Cola products are plentiful here.

• Main Express (9/2009) - 279 Chillicothe Street, Jackson – 20/GB/6C/6P – Diet 20 – Second-Hand. 20 oz & glass bottles in the coolers, with multi-can packs & 2-litres nearby. Also carries Gem Golden Cream soda in glass bottles.

• Fruth Pharmacy (9/2009) – W Second, next door to Foodland, Wellston – 20 – Diet 20 - Second-Hand. 20 oz bottles in the coolers, along with Gem Cream soda.

• Sunoco Station/Store (9/2009) - Pennsylvania Avenue, Wellston - Second-Hand. Advertises that they carry Ski.

• Marathon Station/Store and Exxon Station/Store (9/2009) – both on Ohio 93, Coalton – Second-Hand. Both of these stores advertise that they carry Ski.

• Elsewhere: Ski vending machines can also be found in other places in Wellston & Jackson. Gem may also offer in-person on-site cash-and-carry during normal business hours. C/F Ski is apparently not available in the area. Double Cola & Cherry Ski (where available) are only distributed in 20oz plastic bottles, sometimes in 6-packs, and are not distributed in cans.

• Not found at: Speedway, 449 E Main, Jackson (7/2009); Save-A-Lot (Second-Hand, 9/2009); Wal-Mart, Jackson (Second-Hand, 9/2009).

TENNESSEE

Chattanooga – From a representative at Double Cola, USA (8/2009) – Ski & Double Cola are available at many stores in this area. Chattanooga is the home of Double Cola USA, and the place where Double Cola and Ski were first created.

• Bi-LO (9/2009) – various locations - From a representative at Double Cola, USA & various Internet posts. You should be able to find both Double Cola and Ski, as well as Diet & Cherry Ski, at local Bi-LO stores in multiple packaging. Some locations also carry C/F Ski & various flavors of Jumbo, as well as Diet Double Cola.

Lafayette (Macon County) / Hartsville – Second-Hand, multiple internet sources (7/2009) – There is a local distributor in Lafayette for Ski & Double Cola, & both are available here.

• Piggly-Wiggly (5/2009) – 130 McMurry Blvd E., Hartsville – Second-Hand. Ski is available here.

Fircrest (Seattle/Tacoma Area) – Second-Hand (6/2009) – Double Cola GB – Double Cola, in glass bottles from Orca Beverage, can be found in at least one Coffeehouse in this area. See also Mukilteo.

Mukilteo (Seattle Area) – Although Double Cola is not listed on their web site, Orca Beverage ( www.orcabeverage.com ) does bottle Double Cola for their “Nostalgia Soda Sampler” 12 bottle (glass) variety pack. It is possible that Double Cola is available in the local area that Orca serves. Orca also bottles other Nostalgic and Gourmet sodas, including Moxie & multiple flavors of Nesbitt's.
