Cross Bookmark
Materials:
- Crochet Cotton #20
- Steel Crochet Hook #7 (or whatever works best)
- Small length of 1/8# ribbon
Long arm of cross:
- ch 4, sl to 1st ch to form ring, ch 4 turn
- row 1: dc in ring, ch 3, (dc in ring, ch 2, dc in ring, ch 3) 3 times,

skip ch 3 space, 3 dc in dc, ch 1, turn
- row 4-9: repeat row 3
- row 10: skip 1 dc, sl in next 2 dc, fasten off
Short arms of cross (work 3):
- Attach thread to a dc on the right side of a ch 3 space
- row 1: ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 3, skip ch 3 space, 3 dc in dc,
ch 1, turn
- row 2: skip 1 dc, sl in next 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 3,
skip ch 3 space, 3 dc in dc, ch 1, turn
- row 3-4: repeat row 2
- row 5: skip 1 dc, sl in next 2 dc, fasten off
Finishing:
weave in all ends (I find it easiest to weave in the ends as I complete
each arm); weave a piece of narrow ribbon (1/8-1/4") through ch 3
spaces, start by going -over- the first space, this will cause the
ribbon to go under the ring at the center of the cross; trim ribbon
with a diagonal cut
