Civil War tokens were of two basic types,patriotic ones, which had no merchant's name but were redeemable for cash and "store cards",which did name a redeemer.This one,was issued by L.Eckert,Bookbinder and Stationer.His store was at Walnut and 13th Streets in Cincinnati.
