September 2001 Hike Log
- Jefferson Co. Mem. Forest, 2 Sep.:
The 20-odd hikers did the steep 4-mile Scott's Gap loop of the
Siltstone Trail in mild, clear weather.
Many ate at Mike Linnig's (seafood restaurant) afterward.
- Harrison-Crawford S.F., 9 Sep.:
Despite rain at the meeting place, a total of 21 people
(and 1 dog) went to H.-C.S.F.
Only 17 ended up hiking as a group the whole way;
they hiked about 5 miles on trails and a good 2 miles
back on the road, getting rained on early in the hike.
Ten ate at the Overlook restaurant in nearby Leavenworth.

Very pleasant, clear weather brought out 33 people (and 3 dogs) for
this hike.
Several were new.
They hiked close to 7.5 miles in a loop around Indian lake,
the farther of the two lakes (the other is Celina Lake) at this
HNF recreation area.
About 22 ate and enjoyed the view at the Overlook in Leavenworth.
