July 2000 KISHAW Hike Log

• Charlestown State Park, 2 July: About 22 people hiked, many doing all 3 trails for a total of about 6 miles.
• Mammoth Cave N. P., 9 July: About 9 people (6 new) did a hike in the Wet Prong of Buffalo area north of the Green River.
• Scotts Gap Loop in Jefferson Forest: Around 17 people did this 4.5-mile hike on the side of a hill in less hot (80s) weather.
• Riverwalk, 23 July: Nineteen people joined in the walk this pleasant day, of whom 13 did a 6.5-mile through hike to the end of Broadway.
• A larger number went to the potluck/swim party at Carol’s that evening.
• Tioga Falls, etc., 30 July: 16 did the 2-mile Tioga Falls trail in light sprinkles. Most did the 2-mi Bridges to the Past trail and some hiked to and around Fort Duffield.
