June 2000 KISHAW Hike Log

• Spring Mill State Park, 4 June: About 20 people went on this trip. Most hiked about 4 miles, some more than 7. Several ate at the lodge there.
• Charlestown State Park, 11 June: A hike at Raven Run was scheduled, but the four people who showed up at 9:00 decided to do a closer hike.
• Otter Creek Park, 18 June: Several people hiked; I don't have the details.
• Blue River (Indiana) canoe trip, 24 June: Fifteen people from KISHAW and Maslow’s Third (another singles social group) did the 7-mile canoe trip ending at Milltown. High water made for a smooth ride.
• John Haycraft Trail, Elizabethtown, Ky.: 14 people did this new (for us) hike. The 4-mile trail begins in downtown E’town, then winds through woods, with a side trip to a cave spring, and around a reservoir. Most ate at Home Again(?) in E’town.
