March 1999 KISHAW Hike Log

Bernheim Forest, 7 Mar.: Alice led the 12 hikers on a combination of the Yoe, Log Cabin and Guerrilla Hollow Trails for a hilly hike of about seven miles. The weather was mild (for March). Most of us ate at The Kitchen in Shepherdsville.

14 Mar.: Two met and decided not to hike (roads were icy and it was raining and snowing).

Red River Gorge, 21 Mar.: Eleven hiked this warm, sunny day. We ate lunch on an overlook, then hiked to Double Arch, then to Courthouse Rock and back, for a total of about 6 miles. Eight of us ate at the Cantuckee Diner in Winchester.
