Wise Creek hunt camp

This primitive campground in the Oconee National Forest provides access to the Wise Creek Trail. It also includes a canoe landing on the Ocmulgee River. The lower parking area sometimes floods, so it is advisable to park in the upper parking area. Also, the dirt roads may not be suitable for automobiles in wet weather.

Access

The hunt camp is between Jackson and Monticello. To find it, we recommend a map.
The Wise Creek Trail passes through the hunt camp.
Going downstream, the next access is the Bernier boat ramp.
Going upstream, the next good access is just below the Jackson Lake dam .
