Hi, I'm Mark Kinney, and welcome to my little corner of the web.

I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1995 with a degree in Broadcasting, with a Geography minor. I'm still working at Kroger, after an abortive attempt at a broadcasting job and a planned (but not followed up on) move to Portland, Oregon. There's a long, involved story there, but that's really not important anymore, so ptthf.

As you'll see from my links and pages, I'm into gaming (at one time Storyteller and Legend of the Five Rings, but recently more into such things as Feng Shui, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, and the new edition of the venerable Dungeons and Dragons), SF/Fantasy, and other weird things. I write occasionally. The first thing I ever "sold" saw the magazine it was supposed to appear in fold before it was published. On the other hand, if you check out the this product announcement at Atlas Games' website you'll see I finally did something. Yep, that Mark Kinney listed there is actually me. Whether this leads to the Great American Novel remains to be seen.

I'm into all sorts of music too, too many types and groups and such to really cover them all well. You can take a listen to my Yahoo Launch station, though, and hear some of it.

In short, though, I like your general rock (classic and alternative), folk, hip hop, and a little bit of country. Also weird stuff like Tom Lehrer and Negativland. And I used to rap back in high school and college, but Vanilla Ice ruined it for me, so there.
